The Vietnam War was a conflict between the United States,Vietnam,Laos and Cambodia. American forces entered the war to try and prevent a communist takeover of South Vietnam. After fighting a war for almost 20 years America pulls out and the North Vietnamese take over Saigon, South Vietnam in April 1968. American Casualties reached 50,000+ and we preserve a monument to those fallen soldiers called the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C.
